The primary function of the subconscious mind is to be protective. In the consultation the hypnotherapist will explain some of fallacies of hypnosis and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.
People are often happy to know:
▸ You can lie in hypnosis
▸ You are in control of your trance depth
▸ You can cancel or adjust suggestions
▸ Your subconscious will only bring information forward if it feels safe to do so
The role of your hypnotherapist is to collaborate with you on a therapeutic strategy, to facilitate your entry into hypnosis, to guide the therapeutic process while you are in hypnosis, to assist you in emerging comfortably from hypnosis, and to debrief and help you to process and integrate the experience.

Hypnotherapy works on changing and updating your beliefs and perspectives around a situation, and event, a phobia, behaviour, etc.
In hypnotherapy we work WITH your subconscious as well as your conscious mind to make changes easier, faster and long lasting. The subconscious drives 90% - 95% of behaviour, so when we get it on board with our goal it helps us achieve what we consciously desire.
Hypnotherapy is an amazing tool that works well as a stand alone therapy, and alongside other therapies and healing modalities.
